Level I Defensive Handgun

All class dates are 8:00AM to 6:00PM

This is the class to build or improve your combat self-defense shooting skills.  If you’ve never shot a handgun, or ten thousand times, this class will improve your shooting ability.  It is designed to give you the skills necessary to shoot in a defensive situation.  These techniques improve your competence and confidence with your handgun.  Learn from licensed, active duty Police Firearms Instructors. 

Learn from licensed, active duty Police Firearms Instructors. Class is limited to 10 students with two instructors to insure you get the attention and coaching you deserve. We prefer quality over quantity.

THE LEVEL I COURSE INCLUDES:

• SHOOTING FROM THE HOLSTER
• RELOADING TECHNIQUES
• IMMEDIATE ACTION FOR MALFUNCTIONS
• SPEED DRILLS
• COMBAT / COMPETITION MARKSMANSHIP SKILLS
• TRIGGER RESET

Completion of this course will qualify for Concealed Handgun Basic Marksmanship Training, which will abbreviate a CHL or CHL renewal class.

This does not count as classroom law portion only shooting portion. State CHL shooting test will be administered.

Equipment:

• SEMI AUTOMATIC HANDGUN WITH A CAPACITY OF AT LEAST 7 ROUNDS  9mm CALIBER OR LARGER
• 600-800 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION (More is better)
• AT LEAST 2 MAGAZINES if 10 rounds or more /  (3 if less than 10 round capacity)
• HOLSTER - (Must be strong side hip holster / Inside the pant is ok if it is a hard / firm holster)

• MAGAZINE POUCH(S) CAPABLE OF HOLDING AT LEAST 2 MAGAZINES
• EYE & HEARING PROTECTION (loaners available)
