All renewal classes are 8:00AM to 1:00PM
Renewal of your license requires an abbreviated class with a range qualification. The State requires a minimum of 4 hours of training to renew a Texas Concealed Handgun License.
The State requires several instructional areas:
- Range Qualification
- Written Test
- Weapons Laws
- Non-Violent Dispute Resolution
- Use of Force
You need to get your renewal application from the State. The State mails you a letter asking you if you want to renew your license and gives you a choice of getting online to order the packet, or having it mailed to you.
If, for some reason, you have not received this notice or have lost it, you need to contact the Department to obtain a renewal application.
You do not need the renewal application to take the class, we can still process you.
We also include the: Fingerprinting / Passport Photos / Notary Service
(Starting 5/1/10 Renewals are no longer required to submit fingerprint cards or photos)

Equipment:
- Handgun semi or revolver .32 caliber or higher. (For semi & revolver licenses see FAQ’s)
- (We have loaner guns if you don’t have a gun or a semi and want a semi license.)
- At least 50 rounds of ammo for the gun.
- Hearing and eye protection. (We have loaners)
